Thank you

The next two essays will be my last posts. To anyone who has taken the time to read my work, and to anyone who has ever taken the time to get to know who I am and considered me a friend; thank you.

I want to dedicate some lyrics from a song by Azul Intimo that I’ve adapted into poem for you.

I’ve felt out of place since I could remember

An alien, counting stars

Amidst infinite lights, something pulled me towards yours

Every spark that you emitted showed me that kindness is a real thing

And even though the cosmos is immense, you showed me that there will always be a place for love

I was counting stars, and I found you

In between a multitude of universes, we connected

You’re a part of my constellation of love

I was counting stars, and you’re one of the brightest I saw, because you were shining just for me

I was counting stars, but now I’ve stopped counting, but that’s okay, because I’ve found you
